AI security and California’s new statute on lawyers’ use of generative AI (SB 574, effective January 1, 2027), with three must-dos for compliant AI use. Then two workflows at the two doors of a patent portfolio: patent citation monitoring, which reads examiner §102 / §103 citations as licensing leads and then verifies them, and assisted invention intake for the AI-drafted disclosures now reaching university clinics. All demonstrations run on fictional, sanitized fact patterns.
