JR3 autonomous drafting · First-Pass and Auto-Mode

Fewer steps between you and the filing

Two features in this release shrink the number of steps you take. First-Pass builds a document autonomously, on your sample datasets, rules and workflows and on Junior's external datasets. Auto-Mode puts JR3 in the Draft tab of Word, where Junior edits drawings, spec and claims wherever they live.

First-Pass: the autonomous intake

Relies on your sample datasets, rules and workflows for the document type. Runs the intake on its own; you review the draft.

Every external dataset

USPTO file wrappers, federal case law and examiner analysis are integrated into the draft, with citations you can click.

Claim charts for every OA ground

Each rejection gets a chart against the cited art, element by element, before the Remarks are written.

A context file for any LLM

Hand the whole context to OpenAI, Claude or Gemini and keep working where you prefer.

Auto-Mode · JR3 in the Draft tab

JR3 executes multiple actions across the document.

Turn Auto on in the Draft tab and a JR3 card appears above your document sections. Tell it what to change across the document. JR3 uses the engine's section map to reach any section and pull in its templates and rules, works through your instructions in order, and brings every edit back as a proposal you review before anything is written.

  • ✓No more toggling between Chat, Drawings and different sections of the document
  • ✓Track changes on; each section's prompts edit only that section, JR3 can edit anywhere
  • ✓Review changes, grouped by section: Accept a group, a change, or all
  • ✓Section prompts pause while JR3 is armed, and come back when you untick it
First-Pass

Build documents autonomously

First-Pass is the autonomous intake. Give it the materials and the document type; it reads the record, searches, drafts, checks and reports. For an Office Action it retrieves the file wrapper, decomposes the rejections, mines what has won with your examiner and builds a 37 C.F.R. §1.121-compliant response. For an application it goes from disclosure to specification, claims and drawing descriptions.

  • ✓Your sample datasets, rules, workflows and templates for the document type, applied by default
  • ✓USPTO, federal case law and examiner analysis integrated into the draft
  • ✓Claim charts for Office Action grounds; prior-art charts for applications
  • ✓Switch to Co-pilot at any stage; nothing re-runs

A context file for the LLM of your choice

When the draft is ready, First-Pass prepares a context file: the record it read, the outline, the decisions it made and their sources. Open it in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and continue there, or hand it to a colleague who works in a different tool.

  • ✓OpenAI · Claude · Gemini
  • ✓Shareable from the draft-ready screen and from the Matter files
  • ✓Pairs with private model integration: your own keys, your own tokens
