Dockets module · Major new feature

Go from docket to first-draft response in just a few clicks

Track dockets by lawyer, customer number or applicant, for patents and trademarks. Junior resolves name variants, consolidates subsidiaries and lays out pending matters with live USPTO and TSDR status, the last action and a computed next-due date, then hands any Office Action to First-Pass.

Track by lawyer, customer number or applicant

One search box. Applicants resolve across their filing names; attorneys and customer numbers scope the same grid.

Patents and trademarks

Two corpora on one surface, with litigation beside them. Nice classes and §8/§15 windows for marks; CPC and statutory periods for patents.

Family overview

Priority chain, grants, terminal disclaimers, members by office, and what is due in 30 days.

Draft response

Open the Office Action from the file wrapper and press Draft response. First-Pass builds the outline and the response.

What is due, and what to staff

Every row carries the matter number, title or mark, filing date, status, last action and next due. The next-due date is computed from the last Office Action (three months, extendable to six under 37 C.F.R. §1.136(a)) and flagged as such: the record lists Office Actions, not your responses, so verify it against the OA.

  • ✓Server totals, never summed on the client; 25 rows a page
  • ✓Filters: filed year, CPC or Nice class, status; sort by last action or filing date
  • ✓Open any row in Discovery Canvas (patents) or the TSDR Bench (marks); save rows to a Matter
  • ✓Export the docket as .xlsx or .csv with the computed columns labelled
Family → file wrapper → First-Pass

Three clicks from the docket to the response

Click a pending matter and the family overview opens: the parent, continuations, divisionals and national-phase members, each with its status and date. Click the member with the pending Office Action and the file wrapper is retrieved live from the USPTO. Open the Office Action, press Draft response, and First-Pass starts on that application.

  • ✓File wrapper: specification, claims, drawings, every OA and response, the PTO-892 and the cited art
  • ✓Rejection grounds decoded (§101, §103, §112) with the statutory due date
  • ✓First-Pass: retrieve, decompose, mine what won with this examiner, outline, build

The same applicant, every corpus

Switch the tab and the grid becomes the trademark docket: marks, filing basis, Office Actions and maintenance windows from TSDR. Litigation sits beside it, so a client review covers prosecution and disputes on one screen.

  • ✓Trademark rows carry the mark, Nice classes, status and the next TSDR deadline
  • ✓Litigation rows show the court, role and last docket entry
  • ✓Save any view: it appears under Dockets on the Noetpad™
